Thomas Francis Ryan

Ryan, Thomas F., 81, of Cumberland died May 29, 2017.  He was the beloved husband of Janet (Therrien) Ryan for 62 years.  Thomas was born in Pawtucket, a son to the late Milton A. Ryan and Lillian (Tracey) Ryan.

After graduating from St. Raphael Academy in 1953, he attended Bryant College before starting a career as a Real Estate Agent, eventually owning and operating his own businesses: Tom Ryan Real Estate and Tom Ryan Realty Consultants.  He is a Hall of Fame Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Cumberland-Lincoln and was on the Cumberland Zoning Board for twelve years. Mr. ryan was also a longtime member of the Cumberland Fraternal Order of Police.

Besides his wife, Tom is survived by his children, Debra Murnighan and her husband James of Cumberland, Thomas Ryan, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Cumberland, Timothy Ryan of Cumberland and Terrance Ryan of Cumberland.  He also leaves eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister Maureen Ostiguy.  He is predeceased by a daughter, Colleen Damas and her late husband Ronald and a brother Milton Ryan,

The funeral for Mr. Ryan will be Thursday, June 1st at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket 10:00 am. His burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Prospect Street, Pawtucket.  The calling hours for Thomas will be Wednesday from 4-8 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Boys and Girls Club of Lincoln-Cumberland, 1 James J.
