Dear Doris & Chris.....Though I knew that Carl had been ill, I was nonetheless surprised and saddened to see this announcement. I remember him well from my days at the Memorial Hospital ER--always with a ready smile and a friendly "hello". He was well-respected there for his work in the OR.
