Ruth A. (Laffey) Burgess of Pawtucket died on February 23, 2015. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Burgess who predeceased her in 1988 after forty seven years of marriage.
Mrs. Burgess was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late John Laffey and Mary (Elwood) Laffey.
She is survived by her children; William T. Burgess and his wife Gail of Auburn, Ma., John S. Burgess and his wife Pauline of Portsmouth, Thomas J. Burgess and his wife Diane of Great Falls, Va., Terrence M. Burgess and his wife Sharon of Attleboro Ma., and Edward M. Burgess and his wife Margaret of Providence.
The funeral for Mrs. Burgess will be Saturday at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford at 10:00 am. Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery.
