William T. Phillips Jr., of Rumford passed into eternal life on January 27, 2020. He was the husband of the late Madeline (Masse) Phillips. Born in Pawtucket, William was the son of the late William T. Phillips Sr., and Ruth Phillips.
After serving his country during World War II in the United States Navy, Mr. Phillips once again served, this time in the Pawtucket Fire Department rising to the rank of Lieutenant.
William is survived by his companion Kathleen Mallen of Rumford. He also leaves his son, William T. Phillips III of Plainville, Massachusetts and his life partner Patricia Panek. He was the father of the late Antoinette Powers.
There will be a graveside service for Mr. Phillips with full military honors on Friday, January 31st at 10:00am in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Prospect Street, Pawtucket. His calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 pm in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. www.manningheffern.com.
