passed in peace on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the age of 85. Robert was born in Pawtucket, RI to William and Beatrice (Tierney) Schmidt. Robert was married to his beloved wife, Audrey (Scarpetti) for 62 years.

Robert was a master carpenter and wood carver. He was a Post-World War II Veteran who will always be remembered for his selfless care and love for his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, friends and neighbors. He was often referred to as “Mr. Fixit” to all who knew him.

Robert will be most remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, helpfulness and charm. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.

In keeping with the wishes of Robert, there will be no services. Donations can be made to your local animal shelter on his behalf.
