 Raymond A. Piche, who was born on October 6, 1926 in Central Falls, the son of the late Alphonse and Florida (Girard) Piche, passed into eternal life on January 3, 2019. He was the husband of Muriel E. (Thurley) Piche. They had been married for over sixty years.

Raymond was a lifelong resident of Central Falls before moving to Lincoln in 1991. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII where he served in the 81st Wildcat Division and the 11th Airborne Division. He was one of the first American Solders to occupy Japan.

Ray was employed at the former Nissan’s Bakery as a foreman for over thirty years. He later was employed at Sayles Finishing for fourteen years.

He was a member of the VFW Post 1271 in Central Falls where his father was one of the founders and Commander.

In his youth ray was an armature boxer in the Blackstone Valley League.

Besides his wife Murial, Ray is survived by his sister, Claire Mendonca of Pawtucket and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Donat Piche and Rita Lucitt.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Ray, to which relatives and friends are invited, on Tuesday, January 7th at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Pine Street, Pawtucket.
