Ralph J. DeAngelis, 90 of Brooklyn, CT passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on February 2, 2018. He was the dearly loved husband of the late Mary A.(Mennucci) DeAngelis. He leaves his daughter Sondra and her husband Joshua Stone and his beloved grandchildren; Zadan, Sulamith, Reuel, Althea, Tora and Aislan. He was born at home in Barrington, RI, the 7th born child of the late Joseph and Angelina (Lombardi) DeAngelis. He was a graduate of Leander R. Peck High School Class of 1945 and Bryant College Class of 1949. He was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Army 5th Air Force on occupational duty in Japan. He was happily employed as an accountant for 40 years by Bishop & Co. Inc., a yarn sales company in East Providence, RI. Ralph, his brother Romeo, Victor Raponi and William Swift were instrumental in bringing Little League Baseball to Barrington. He had passion and a deep love of the game and managed and umpired for many years. Besides Sondra, her husband and his grandchildren Ralph leaves behind his sister Mary Suriani and brother Salvatore both of Barrington and his brother Alfred of Warren. He was the brother of the late Armando, Romeo, Mario, Joseph, Rocco and Victor. A celebration of his life will be held at The Pawtucket Red Sox on Saturday, June 9, 2018.
