Patricia Marie (Quinn) Hillstrom

Patricia M. Hillstrom (Quinn), 90, of Smithfield, passed peacefully into eternal life on June 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Hillstrom, for 61 years.

Mrs. Hillstrom was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late John P. Quinn and Kathleen (Keough) Quinn. 
Pat was a home economics teacher for the Pawtucket and Smithfield School Departments for many years. She was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she was a proud member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
Mrs Hillstrom enjoyed needle crafts, including sewing, needlepoint, cross-stitch and quilting. She was also an avid reader and a Jeopardy enthusiast. Pat enjoyed traveling the globe with her family, including visiting Russia, China, Southeast Asia, Southern Africa, as well as journeys to Scandinavia and Europe. Of all her past times, Pat most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Patricia is survived by her son, Joseph R. Hillstrom, Jr., and his wife Claudia, of Dimondale, Michigan, and her daughter, Dr. Mary Hillstrom and her husband, Ken Olsen of Lincoln. She also leaves her granddaughter, MaryRose Brantley and her husband Chris, along with her beloved grand dog dog Mazie. Pat will be dearly missed by her friends and special caregivers, David and Suzy Walker.
There will be a funeral service for Mrs. Hillstrom on Thursday, June 24th at 10:00 am in Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. Her calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the funeral home. Patricia's burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
