Michael Bras, of Providence passed into eternal life on November 2, 2021. He was the loving husband of Athena (Kavvas) Bras. They would have been married fifty seven years on November 28th.
Mr. Bras was born in Crete, Greece, the son of the late John Bras and Chrysoula (Paitaki) Bras. He was a mechanic for Providence Braid Company in Pawtucket for many years.
Besides his wife Athena, he is survived by his children; Chrysoula DaRosa and her husband Elio of Scituate, Rhode Island, and John Bras of Cumberland, as well as his sister Voula Moschonas of Athens, Greece. He is predeceased by his brothers Nicholas and Joseph Bras.
He was very proud of his grandchildren, Ryan DaRosa, Jordan DaRosa, Samantha Bras and Andrew Bras. He loved spending time with his family and friends and loved watching football and soccer.
There will be a funeral service for Michael on Friday, November 5th at 2:00 pm in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Greek Orthodox Church, Walcott Street, Pawtucket. His visitation will be in the church from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday prior to the service.
