Maureen E. (Morgan) Burns-Coutu of Pawtucket passed into eternal life on July 4, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Coutu and Gerald Burns.
Maureen was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Daniel Morgan and Marie (Talbot) Morgan.
She taught high school Spanish in the Cumberland school system and the Medway Massachusetts school system for over 40 years. She was extremely passionate about teaching and her students.
Maureen is survived by her daughter Jessica Quenga and her husband Bryan of Cranston and her step children, Stephen Coutu and his wife, Laura of Barrington, Elise Lanzi and her husband Greg of Cumberland, Christopher Coutu and his wife Michelle of Juneau, Alaska and Michelle Casavant and her husband Steven of Cumberland. She is also survived by her brother Robert Morgan and his wife Judy. She was a loving Memere to fourteen grandchildren; Max, Grace, Ethan, Emma, Sarah, Caroline, Benjamin, Harrison, Jackson, Allison, Madelyn, Melody, Kaydence, and Reed.
She was the mother of the late Joshua Robert Burns. She was predeceased by siblings John Morgan, Paul Morgan, and Alice Eichhorn.
There will be a funeral service for Maureen on Wednesday, July 14th at 10:00 am in the Four Corners Community Chapel, 200 Angell Road,Cumberland. Her visitation will be from 4-7 pm in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket on Tuesday July 13th
