Mary Farley Obituary

Mary Elizabeth McKitchen Farley, 90, died peacefully at home with her loving family and pets on Sunday, May 19, 2019.
 
Mary was born in Pawtucket, RI on April 7, 1929 to Anna McGarrigle and Joseph McKitchen.  She attended Sacred Heart Academy and received her degree in education from Rhode Island College.  She taught elementary school in Cumberland and Pawtucket for many years.
 
Fifty-seven years ago she married her loving husband, Leo Farley and they had three daughters: Mary, Kate and Sara.  She and Leo raised their family in Pawtucket prior  to moving to Seekonk, MA.  Mary always kept busy with odd jobs around the home and enjoyed cooking, sewing and caring for her grandchildren. She was a lifelong devoted  Catholic and was most recently a communicant of  Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Seekonk, MA. 
 
She spent her last months living in Tiverton with Sara, Jerry and the boys.  While there, she enjoyed birdwatching, saying her novena, daily bowls of ice cream and napping with her fat cat, Harry.
 
Mary is survived by her husband Leo, her three daughters Mary Tomaselli and her husband Thomas of Barrington, Katherine Taylor and her husband Jeffery of Seekonk, and Sara Farley and her husband Jerome Larkin of Tiverton,  as well as her 7 grandchildren, Jillian Tomaselli, Raechel Tomaselli, Kelsy Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Max Farley, Samuel Farley and Benjamin Farley and many nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by all of her siblings, Dr. Joseph McKitchen, Francis McKitchen, John McKitchen, William McKitchen and Ann Dubois. 
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mary, to which relatives and friends are invited, on Thursday, May 23rd at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyr's Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk, Massachusetts. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
