Lola Wright Obituary

Lola A. Wright, of Pawtucket passed into eternal life on January 26, 2020.

She was the wife of David G. Wright.

Lola was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Louis Gamba and Ebe (Taddei) Gamba. She was a secretary at Miriam Hospital.

Lola always enjoyed downhill skiing in New Hampshire. She was a long time member of St. Teresa’s Parish in Pawtucket, a member of the Friday Knitting group there and a member of the Sons of Italy in Pawtucket. Lola was also a longtime usher at the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Providence

Besides her husband David, Lola is survived by her son Andrew Wright and his fiancé Stephanie Strub of Pawtucket, her sister Sandra Smith and her husband Gerald of Providence her brother Joseph Gamba and his wife Holly of Pawtucket and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral for Lola will be Thursday at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00am. Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery. The calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket R.I. 02861 in Lola’s memory.
