John "Jake" Conley Obituary

John (Jake) W. Conley of Bonita Springs, FL and formerly of Rumford, RI and Edgartown, MA, passed into eternal life on February 4, 2021.  He was the husband of Carol (Trainor) Conley. Mr. Conley was born in Providence, the son of the late John F Conley and Dorothy (Munro) Conley.

Mr. Conley was a leader in the jewelry industry for many years.  He ended his career as the President of the Precious Metals Group of Cookson America.  He was a past President of the Providence Jewelers Club.  He was a member of the Bonita Bay Club, Squantum Association and the Edgartown Yacht Club.

Mr. Conley was a member, and a past president, of the Wannamoisett Country Club for over 64 years.  In that time, he made holes-in-one on each of Wannmoisett’s par 3s and made 6 holes- in-one overall at the club.

He is survived by his three children Elizabeth A. Conley Francis and her husband Tom of Rumford, Suzanne L. Conley of Rumford and John F. Conley II and his wife Ellen of Rumford.  He also leaves his grandchildren Alexandra Francis, Sam Francis, Madison Conley and Mackenzie Conley.  He is also survived by his nephew Daniel Conley.

He was predeceased by his brothers Robert Conley and Kenneth Conley.
