John Clarke Kerr

John C Kerr, of East Providence passed away in his home on August 24, 2021. John would have wanted it known that he passed away as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctors’ orders and raising hell for more than six decades.

John, born in Pawtucket was the son of the late James Kerr and Catherine (Clarke) Kerr. John is survived by his beloved daughter Kristen Holbrook and husband Matt, sister Leslie Ryan and late husband Ed, sister Lisa Kerr, Brother Jimmy and wife Clara, grandson Jacoby Holbrook, niece Brittney Ryan, nephew Brendan Ryan and we can’t forget about his favorite grand pup Tucker.

John loved to take drives down to the beach, go fishing and jam out to the Grateful Dead. He also couldn’t resist a pepperoni mushroom pizza from Pawtucket House of Pizza.

John will always be remembered as being a kind, thoughtful and generous man. He was always willing to help anyone, even when he was struggling himself. 

The funeral for John will be Monday, August 30th at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. His burial will be in his family’s lot at Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
