James Edward Brown

James E. “Jim”  Brown, 62, of Riverview, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 1, 2022 in Brandon, Florida. He was the husband of the late Nancy A. Brown of Pawtucket. 

Jim was a 1977 graduate of St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket and Emerson College in 1981. He worked in the television industry for many years. He was the Director of Operations for WLNE Channel 6 in Providence, WTNH Channel 8 in New Haven as well as WFLA Channel 8 in Tampa before he retired.

Jim is survived by his children, Samantha Brown of Pawtucket, James E. Brown, Jr., and his wife Eleah of Pawtucket and Eric Brown and his wife Anne of Somerset, Massachusetts, a brother Norman Brown, Jr., and his wife Deborah,  two sisters, Jean Brown and Joan Heburn, as well as his grandchildren, Oliver, Meredith, and Caroline. He also leaves behind his two loyal and much loved dogs, Mac and Mia. 

The funeral for Jim will be Monday, January 10th at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 am. The calling hours for Mr. Brown will be Sunday from 2-5 pm in the funeral home.
