Beloved father, Edward A. Nelson Jr., passed away peacefully at age 63 on May 22nd at Orchard View Manor in East Providence. He was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, to Edward A. Nelson Sr. and Elizabeth Nelson (Fairhurst) on January 13th, 1957.
He loved spending time with his family. He and his son shared a birthday, and Ed loved to mark the occasion by eating fresh seafood. When he wasn't at the ocean, he was likely working on cars and motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons. Ed had many jobs over the years. He grew up in Rumford, and after high school he enlisted in The United StatesMarine Corps. He helped build his first home in Foster, he coached youth little league when his children were involved. He lived in Coventry, and then finally moved back to East Providence.
He is survived by his loving children: Paul Nelson; Jamie Nelson; and Jaclyn Nelson and her wife Melissa Nelson, and his grandson, Grayson Nelson. He also leaves behind his sister Beverly Carpenter of Wisconsin.
Ed lives on in spirit, in the memories of his children, they are his greatest accomplishment. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of his Life will be held in a post-Covid time, where in accordance with his wishes, his family, and friends can gather.
Service to be held Tuesday May 26th 2020 at Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery (661 Prospect Street,Pawtucket, RI 02860), in the Chapel at 10:00am
