Donald W Hamel

Donald (Don) W. Hamel, 54, of Pawtucket passed away unexpectedly at home on May 15, 2021. He is preceded in death by his mother A. Dorothy (Berlinsky) Jacobs and his stepfather Napoleon Jacobs. Don is survived by his siblings, twin sisters Barbara and Valerie Hamel, both of Seekonk, Massachusetts, his sister Lisa Hamel and her husband Michael Eacueo of Cumberland, and his brother Christopher Hamel of Pascoag. He also leaves his niece Julie Gutowski and his nephew Evan Littlefield.

Don was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. After high school, he was employed as a truck driver and held various construction-related positions. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, talking to neighbors, and corresponding on social media.  His other interest included listening to music, watching movies and sports, cooking, fishing, and writing poetry.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

There will be a service in the Manning and Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, RI, Tuesday, May 25th at 11:00 am. Visitation will be at 10:00 am, prior to the service. www.manningheffern.com
