Doloris Menard Obituary

Doloris ‘Del’ Menard, 91, of Pawtucket, passed into eternal life on April 23, 2022. Born in Pawtucket, Del was the daughter of the late George Rattey and Marie L. (Cayer) Rattey, and was youngest of nine siblings.  She was the wife of the late Ernest ‘Ernie’ Menard, who predeceased her in 2012. It is the family she built with him that was her proudest accomplishment.

Del is survived by her four children; Michael Menard and his wife Barbara of Cranston, Steven Menard and his wife Diane of Cumberland, Debra Senesi and her husband Mel of Cranston, and Susan Walker and her husband Mark of Wakefield. She was also blessed with five beautiful grandchildren; Michaela Menard, Matthew Menard, the late Marques Menard, Zachary Walker, and Madison Walker; and a great granddaughter, Zara Menard.

Beyond those who share her blood, Del was “mom” to many, always welcoming friends of family into her home, and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved her. And what will be remembered is her ability to beat anyone in a lobster eating contest, her love for Cheetohs and a glass of wine, and most of all, “having a lot of laughs” with her family.

To honor what she loved most, Del’s family will celebrate her life in a private ceremony, with laughter and in memory, to put her to rest peacefully beside her husband at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
