Ann T. McConaghy, 97, of Cumberland passed into eternal life peacefully on February 7, 2021 at the Hope Hospice Hulitar Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Frank Paiva.
Ann was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (McAlinden) McConaghy.
For the past twelve years, Ms. McConaghy resided with her niece and godchild Deborah Ann McGrath and her husband Michael of Cumberland.
Ann was a proud veteran of World War II, where she served in the Army Nurse Cord, earning the rank of Second Lieuteaant. She served in the Pacific theatre as well as Iwo Jima.
When she returned home after the war Ann worked in The Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island in Pawtucket for over forty five years. She was an active member of the Memorial Hospital Alumni Association.
Ann’s two favorite hobbies were traveling and golf.
