Truly sorry to hear of Neil's death. He was my pastor in Duran when I joined the St James Society in 1995. I will offer Mass for him tomorrow - the day of his funeral. A great missionary. He made a great meatloaf and was proud of his recipe! Deepest sympathy to all the family - I can honestly say that family were very important to him- he often spoke about you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. May he rest in peace.

We just received this news last night and we are so heartbroken. Fr. Lynch was so special to our family. Although he wasn't family, he always felt like extended family to us. We have had so many events with him from First Communion, our weddings, the funeral for our mother (Maureen Plante), and in 2015 the baptism of my daughter, Maura Sweet. He was also there when our mother was sick--for all of her cancer battles--and would visit us and pray with us. We will never forget that jolly voice and happy booming laugh that was infectious. He was truly the most genuine person we have ever known. We missed him greatly when we went to Ecuador and learned Spanish to work with the people there as a missionary. He used to send us letters about his time spent there and we cherish them. We will miss the sermons about his beloved Charlie Brown, his violin playing at Christmas Eve masses, and how he used to have Santa kneel on the altar when we were children. How very profound and uniquely him. He gave us his priest card from when he was ordained and it is such a special memento to us that we treasure. He always ended his sermons with a line about "caring deeply for one another," and we will always care deeply about our dear friend. Thoughts and prayers to the whole Lynch family.
Sincerest Condolences,
Lisa (Plante) Sweet, Timothy Sweet, Maura Sweet, Michelle (Plante) Gorman, Russ Gorman, Michael Plante

Our sympathy to the entire Lynch family on your loss.
Fr. Lynch was such a big part of my life as a teenager and continued to be as I reached adulthood.
My husband and I were lucky to have him officiate at our wedding 14 years ago.
When setting our date, he was the first person I checked with. My wedding would not have been complete without him there to celebrate with us!
I am so sorry to be missing the services this weekend. I will be out of town helping a friend.
Thank you for allowing me to visit with Fr. Neil last week as Hospice. It meant the world to me to see him smile and hear him laugh one final time!
