Mary Boyd Preston of Warwick passed into eternal life on November 3, 2017.
She was the wife of the late Jerry G. Preston.
Mary was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Leo Boyd and Alice “McMahon” Boyd. She was a computer programmer for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation for many years.
Mrs. Preston is survived by her son, David Preston and his wife Jennifer of East Greenwich and her daughter Elizabeth A. Brosnan and her husband Brian of Attleboro, Ma. She was the mother of the late Mary Kathryn Preston.
Mary is also survived by her grandchildren, Caroline and Harry Preston of East Greenwich. She was the sister of the late Bernard Boyd and Nancy Viens.
Mrs. Preston was a long time member of the Kent County YMCA and a forty year Parishioner of St. Gregory the Great in Warwick.
The funeral for Mary will be Tuesday, November 7th at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 am.
Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours for Mary will be Monday from 4-7 pm in the funeral home. For online condolences please visit www.manningheffern.com.
