Janet Edith (Hunter) Werner

Janet Edith (Hunter) Werner, 91, passed into eternal life on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Our lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence.

Janet was born November 11, 1927 in Madison, Illinois, she loved spending time with her family along with watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up and said that is what kept her going and young all these years. Janet enjoyed traveling, reading novels, knitting and watching spooky movies. As she would say "the spookier the better". She was the type of person that was always there to help and would give you the shirt off her back if she could. Janet was married young and lived a full life, enjoying it to the fullest.

Janet is preceded in death by both of her parents and is the last of her surviving siblings. She was married to the late Robert Alfred Werner and they had two sons; Russell Lee Werner and the late Larry Dean Werner. She leaves her granddaughter Linda Smith and six grandsons, Russell Werner Jr., Randy Werner, Russell Myers, Bernard Berube, Renald Berube and the late Larry M. Werner. She had fifteen great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Janet had requested to not have a service so we will honor her wishes and her cremains will be buried privately in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
