Gino Satti Obituary

Gino A. Satti, formerly of Pawtucket died peacefully on June 2, 2018. He was the loving husband of Theresa A. (Riel) Satti for over 68 years. Besides his wife Theresa, Mr. Satti is survived by his daughters; Gail Coulter and her husband Mark and Maria L. Salvatore. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Brendon, Erin, James and Logan. Mr. Satti was born in Pawtucket, a son to the late Giulio and Anna (Peranzi) Satti.

Gene as everyone knew him set the bar to an unachievable level as a devoted loving husband and father.  He and Terry enjoyed road trips to Florida, Branson and Saratoga to name a few.  He loved the little things in life such as Friday night pizza with the family while watching a ballgame or Sunday rides that ended with Bliss ice-cream or picking blueberries with his daughters when they were young as well as spending time with the grandchildren when they entered his life.  He was most content in his yard tending to his garden, perfecting his lawn or enjoying a cold beer and some conversation with his best friend and neighbor Armand. An avid New England sports fan he enjoyed every Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics game.

At the age of 20 Gene joined the Marines and served on the USS Ranger in WWII as a Private First Class.  As a civilian he worked for over 40 years as a Union carpenter in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.

His wisdom and genuine humility will be missed by all that knew him.  He will live in the hearts of those he touched and will never be forgotten.

The funeral for Gino will be Friday, June 8th at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue at 10:00 am. His burial will be with full Military Honors in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
