Geoffrey McLaughlin Obituary

Geoffrey R. McLaughlin, 59, of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, passed into eternal life on December 27, 2018.

Mr. McLaughlin was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of the late John B. McLaughlin and Mary (McVay) McLaughlin.

Geoffrey was a 1977 graduate of East Providence High School and graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in mechanical and ocean engineering.

His two greatest passions were his family and sailing on the ocean aboard the Corazon.

He was an engineer at the Milwaukee Valve Company.

He is survived by his fiancée Tina Atkinson of Portsmouth, R.I.

Geoffrey is also survived by the mother of his children, Christine Clark McLaughlin of New Jersey and his children, Kevin Clark McLaughlin of Oregon, Daniel John McLaughlin of Wisconsin, and Lindsay Marie McLaughlin of New York.

He also leaves his sisters, Currie McLaughlin of San Francisco, Jane McLaughlin Dobisz of Waltham, Massachusetts and Julia Charpentier of Rumford and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Geoffrey on Thursday, January 3rd at 10:00 am in St. Margaret’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford.

There will be visitation on Wednesday from 4-7 pm in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, (MMRF), PO Box 414238, Boston, MA, 02241-4238.
