Edmond H. Farrell, 90, of Pawtucket passed into eternal life on October 25, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maureen (McNally) Holleran Farrell. Ed was also the husband of the late Ilene T. (Burns) Farrell and Claire Early Farrell.

He was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Edmond H. Farrell Sr. and Priscilla (Connors) Farrell.

Mr. Farrell was a United States Veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving in WWII.

He served as a Lieutenant on the Pawtucket Fire Department for many years Lieutenant Farrell truly enjoyed his years on the Pawtucket Fire Department. Always referring to it as the greatest job in the world.  Lt. Farrell served as the Pawtucket Fire Marshall for many years before he retired.

 Besides his wife Maureen Lt. Farrell is survived by his children: Michael Farrell and his wife Kimberly of Franklin, Massachusetts, Ilene Martina Farrell of Pawtucket, Margaret “Peggy” Grant and her husband Douglas of Pawtucket and Paula Farrell Pletcher and her husband Brian of Pawtucket. Lt. Farrell is survived by his three grandchildren, Michael, Ryan and Shannon and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late John Farrell.

The funeral for Ed will be Tuesday, October 31st, at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 am. His burial will be with full Military Honors in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours will be on Monday, October 30, from 4-7 pm in the funeral home. www.manningheffern.com
