Dorothy May Anderson, 97, a Pawtucket resident for over 70 years recently moved to Rindge,NH to the home of
her daughter, which she referred to as the most peaceful place on earth. It was there that she died peacefully on
March 14, 2018 She was the wife of the late John J. Anderson.
Dot was born in Fall River, Mass the daughter of the late Ellen (Quinn) Boulay and Wilfred E. Boulay.
Dot was devoted to her faith and family, her love and selfless generousity for her family knew no bounds. She
enjoyed reading, country music and for many years she gifted quilts she made, every stitch done by hand. Her
life impacted many, there will be a hole in the heart of all that were fortunate emough to have known her
spirit and felt her love.
Dot is survived by her daughter Patricia Harris of NH and her son Richard Anderson of RI. She also leaves 7
grandchildren, 8 great grandchilden and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Beside her husband John who predeceased her in 1995, Dot was predeaced by her sons, John W Anderson and
Thomas Anderson. Her grandson, John W Anderson, Jr and her great grandson Brian Snipes also predeceased her.
One of her favorite verses " If I cannot do great things, I'll do small things in a great way." She was quite a lady!
There will be a memorial service for Dot followed by burial May 25th, 1pm in the chapel at Mt St Mary's Cemetary,
Pawtucket. Arrangements through Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.
