Albert V. Satula died on March 1, 2018. He was the husband of the late Helen (Dyer) Satula. A longtime Pawtucket resident, recently residing at the R.I. Veteran’s Home, Mr. Satula was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of the late Edward A. Satula and Magdalena (Zelvyte) Satula.
He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II serving in Europe.
Al was a school teacher in the Smithfield School System where he was a math teacher at the junior high school and the high school for many years.
Mr. Satula is survived by his children; Frances Ahern and her husband John, Edward T. Satula and his wife Maria, Mary T. Satula and Jane Blanchette and her husband Paul. He also leaves his grandchildren; Matthew Blanchette, Luke Blanchette , Erin Romani, John Ahern and MaryJane Ahern and his great grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Hannah, Benjamin, and John. Al is survived by one sister, Mildred Magda and was the brother of the late Edward Satula, Victor Satula, Frances Butkus and Theresa Verseckas.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Al at St. Raymond’s Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence on April 6th at 10:00 am to which relatives and friends are invited His burial will be immediately following the Mass with full Military honors at Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Raymond's Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
