Virginia “Ginny” Lucille Garzoli, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. She was born on August 13, 1931, in Wakefield, RI, to the late Irving and Julia (Gardner) King. In 1953 she married her beloved husband, Ovidio J. Garzoli, who predeceased her.
Ginny was a communicant of the Holy Family Parish in Pawtucket, RI. She was employed at New England Linen for twenty four years and as a housekeeper at St. Joseph’s rectory for eighteen years.
Ginny and Charlie enjoyed nearly sixty one years of marriage, travelling, and even driving all over the state of Rhode Island, visiting with siblings, nieces and nephews. She loved to knit and make sweaters, mittens and hats for children.
Ginny was the eldest of twelve children. She is survivied by her sisters, Joan Polazzo (John), Hazel Lucas, Carol Tucker (Tommy), Carolyn Deluca and Irene DeJordy; and brothers Robert King, Irving King (Carol), Clifford King (Fortunata), Dwight King (Joanne), and Dale King (Ponia). She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Sandra King and brothers-in-law Reginald Lucas and Raymond Deluca. Ginny also had many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Garzoli on Friday, April 17th at 11:00 am in Holy Family Parish Church, Walcott Street, Pawtucket. Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours will be Friday from 9:30 am in the funeral home.
