Ronald "Ron" Albert Barstis

BARSTIS – Ronald Albert, 67, passed away quietly and peacefully in his home on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of Lynne (McLaughlin) Barstis. Mr. Barstis is survived by Lynne and their three children: Terri and her husband Chris Kelley of Washington, D.C., David of Attleboro, MA, and Catherine and her husband Paolo Corso of Attleboro, MA. In addition, he is survived by his brother, David Barstis of Latrobe, PA, and by his beautiful grandson, Jack Albert Kelley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Helen.

Ron received his undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and his MBA from Bryant University. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle; lifetime member of Trout Unlimited; an avid fisherman; and a proud patriot and U.S. Navy veteran.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21st at Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, RI. There will be a Funeral Mass for Ron in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, 385 Central Avenue, Seekonk, MA, on Tuesday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, East Providence, RI.
