Raymond J. McMahon Jr 95, of Pawtucket RI died August 9, 2017 in Clearwater, Fl. Born to Raymond J and Irene McMahon in 1921 and educated at LaSalle Academy, Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School, Mr. McMahon served on the prosecution team that investigated Marshal Erhard Milch at the Nuremburg Germany trials in 1946-1947. Milch, a former deputy under Hermann Goering, was later charged and convicted of Nazi War Crimes.

Mr. McMahon joined the law firm of his father Raymond J. McMahon Sr, a former Pawtucket District Court judge in 1947, and kept an office in Providence until very recently. A longtime member of St. Raymond’s Church and Wannamoisett Country Club, he is pre-deceased by oldest son Raymond J. McMahon III and survived by Brian R. McMahon of Bradenton, Fl, Patrick J. McMahon of Pawtucket, Kevin J. McMahon of Belleair, Fl, and 7 grandchildren. Quick to start or join in the singing of an Irish Jig, he was a warm and decent man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Viewing at the Manning Hefferan funeral home, 68 Broadway Pawtucket, on Tuesday August 15th from 4-7pm. Requiem Mass to be held at St. Raymond’s Church, 1240 N Main St Pawtucket at 10:00am on Wednesday August 16th.
