Pauline M. Cardin of Pawtucket passed into eternal life on March 20, 2017. She was the wife of the late Alexander Cardin and Anthony S. Valente.
Mrs. Cardin was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Joseph D’Angelo and Angela (Nasise) D’Angelo. Pauline was employed at the Department of Employment Security for over twenty five years. She was then employed at Project Hope in Pawtucket and Central Falls as a case manager until her retirement in 2008.
She was the parish coordinator of the St. Mary’s Festival in Pawtucket, a Girl Scout leader there and very active in the Mother’s Club and the Legion of Mary.
Mrs. Cardin is survived by her granddaughter, Toni Marie Larose of Pawtucket, her grandson, Paul Bruscini, and her great grandchildren, Jeffrey and Caitlyn Larose. She also leaves her step daughter Katherine Devine, her step grandchildren, Meg Goldfaden, Risa Cardin, Alexander Cardin and several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was the mother of the late JoAnne Olson. She was the sister of the late Vincent DeAngelo, Samuel DeAngelo, Charles DeAngelo, Joseph DeAngelo Jr. Frances DeMartino and Eleanor Grasso.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Pauline on Friday, March 24th at 11:00 am in Pope John Paul II Church, Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Her calling hours will be Friday morning from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
