Mary T. (Tennyson) Proulx

Mary T. Proulx, formerly of Federal Street, Pawtucket, died on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Gerard C. Proulx.

Mrs. Proulx was born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Alfred J. Tennyson and Anna (Giblin) Tennyson. She was a graduate of Central Falls High School and worked as a stenographer for the FBI in Providence and Los Angeles.

Mrs Proulx was a communicant of St. Teresa’s Church in Pawtucket for over fifty years.

Mrs. Proulx is survived by her son, Lawrence G. Proulx of Paris, France, and four daughters: Michelle Proulx of Connecticut, Marie Mersereau of Maine, Carolyn Proulx of Pawtucket and Jacqueline Farrell of Massachusetts. She also leaves her sister, Rita T. Kelleher, of Cumberland, nine grandchildren: Harry, Molly, Shelley and Valerie Antonio, Daniel and Gerianne Connell, and Nina, Joanna and Jeremiah Farrell. Mrs. Proulx was the sister of the late James Tennyson, Alfred Tennyson, and Raymond Tennyson.

The funeral for Mrs. Proulx will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa’s  Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, at 10:00 am. Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery.
