Mary M. Hird, 58, of Cumberland and formerly of Pawtucket passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 23, 2017.
Mary was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late John W. and Loretta (Riley) Hird.
She is survived by her siblings; A. Melanie and her husband Joseph Cherry, J. Timothy Hird, Robert J. Hird and his wife Lisa and Elizabeth H. Morley and her husband Peter.
Mary is also survived by Anne D. Duffy, many cousins, and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was a beacon of kindness and compassion for all that knew her. She was lovingly supported at home and work by the ARC of Blackstone Valley. Mary recently retired from the Flying Shuttles Studio of Pawtucket where she was a weaver and artist.
The funeral for Mary will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in Pope John Paul II Parish Church (St. Leo’s) Central Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 am.
Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
The calling hours for Mary will be Thursday from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
