Mary Veronica (Whalen) Hayes

Mary V. (Whalen) Hayes of Rehoboth, Massachusetts died on August 29, 2015.  She was the wife of the late Henry J. Hayes, Jr.  At the time of Mr. Hayes’s death in 2014 they had been married sixty nine years.
Mrs. Hayes was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts.  She was a dedicated and loving homemaker to her three children.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and traveling with her husband in their Airstream.
She is survived by her children, Michael Hayes and his wife Nancy of Greenville, Rita Newcomb and her husband William of South Kingstown and Henry J. Hayes III and his wife Diane of Rehoboth, MA.  Mrs. Hayes leaves her grandchildren, Dennis, Stephanie, Paul, Alison, Nathan, Ryan, and Caitlin. She also had ten great grandchildren.
The funeral for Mrs. Hayes will be Wednesday at 8:30 am from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Queen of Martyr’s Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk, MA, at 10:00 am. Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.
