Josephine R. Gamba, of Pawtucket passed into eternal life on April 15, 2017.
Josephine was born in Pawtucket on May 21, 1020, the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Filomena (Coppede) Gamba, and lived there all her life.
She was a seamstress for Standard Romper/Healthtex until her retirement in 1982. Josephine was a parishioner of St. Teresa’s Church in Pawtucket since its inception.
Josephine is survived by nephew Joseph J. Gamba of Mooseup,Ct, by her nieces Sandra M. Smith of Providence and Lola A. Wright of Pawtucket. She leaves a grand niece, two grandnephews, four great-grandnieces, two great grandnephews and many cousins. She was the sister of the late Louis Gamba, Jessie Gamba and Annita Duquette.
The funeral for Josephine will be Wednesday at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 am. Her calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-7 pm in the funeral home.
