Joan F. Eklind of Florida died on December 5, 2014. She was the wife of Guy Eklind.
Mrs. Eklind was born in Attleboro but grew up in Mansfield. She was the daughter of the late Robert L. Barre and Frances K. (Morton) Barre. She was an instructional learning aid at Attleboro High School.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Eklind is survived by her children: Kathleen Carroll Kisamore of Attleboro, Gerald D. Carroll Jr. of Pawtucket, Kelley Parks of South Attleboro and Patrick Carroll of East Greenwich. She also leaves her stepchildren, Joseph Eklind, Kimberly Froment and Kristen Henry, her brother Robert M. Barre of Texas and a sister Barbara Washburn of Tennessee. Joan had thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson.
There will be a funeral service for Joan on Tuesday, December 9th at 5:30 pm in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. Her calling hours will be from 4:00 pm on Tuesday prior to the service. For online condolences please visit www.manningheffern.com.
