Eileen Shirley (Matthews) Neill

Eileen Shirley (Matthews) Neill passed away quietly on Friday, the 8th of July surrounded by her loving children.

Eileen was the daughter of the late Manuel and Helen B. Matthews of Pawtucket, R.I. Beloved Mom of Robin N.Smith and her husband Greg of Lincoln, R.I., Donald B. Neill, Jr. and his wife Brigit Timpson of Providence R.I. and Auckland, New Zealand, Kerri L. Neill and Matthew J. Neill and his wife Angelica of East Providence, R.I. “ The best Grammy in the whole world,”  to Evan Smith, Mollie Smith Mikkelsen, Benjamin Neill Cardoza, Noah Timpson-Neill, Gabriel Timpson-Neill and Francesca Neill.

A talented artist who enjoyed all genres of creating from chair caning and furniture refinishing to sewing beautifully smocked dresses, Eileen used her artistic gifts to enhance her home and the lives of her family members. Home and family were the center of Eileen’s world and her legacy will live on in the lives of each of her children and grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service for Eileen on Saturday, July 16th at 10:00 am in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Prospect Street, Pawtucket. Her burial will follow.
