Edward David Walsh, 90 years old, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 7:10 am at Shannondale Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband to the late Joan Claudia (Carr) Walsh. He was born in Pawtucket, RI, the son to the late Thomas and Bridget (Higgins) Walsh. Ed was a Navy Veteran of VTorld War II and lived in RI , Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Florida before moving to Knoxville, Tennessee.
Mr. Walsh leaves two daughters, Mary G. Sartorelli of Knoxville, Tennessee and Regina G. Walsh of Clovis, New Mexico and the late Joan C. Rivard; three sons, Edward D Walsh, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, Daniel G. Walsh Of West Brandenton , Florida, and John G. Walsh of Sarasota, Florida. He had 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Edward was the brother to the late Mary Destefano, Patricia Briggs, Sally McGuire, Peggy Campbell, Jimmy and Raymond Walsh.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Walsh on Wednesday, July 19th at 10:00 am in The Holy Family Parish Church (St. Joseph’s) 195 Walcott Street, Pawtucket. His burial will be with full Military Honors in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
