Doris B Read

Doris "Dixie.", "Memere" Read, 92 Ocean died peacefully at home on November 2, 2014. Born in Central Falls, RI. She called Salem, NH her home for over 40 years, before moving to Ocean Township 9 years ago. She was predeceased by her parents, Eliodore and Roseanna (Fontaine) Bougeois, her 12 siblings, her husband, James T. Read, her son James T. Read, Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Dolores "Dori" Read.



Surviving are her daughter, Rosemary Read of Slidell, LA; her granddaughters, Stephanie (Read) Pickelny and her husband Jay and their children, Daniel and Paige of Ocean; Christine (Read) Barlow and her husband Dave and their children Wyatt, Dori and Cooper of Freehold; Kathleen (Read) Perez and her husband Lou and their children Sophia and Leila of Howell and many nieces and nephews.



A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 10 am at St. Leo the Great Parish, 697 Central Ave, Pawtucket, RI followed by an interment at Mount St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, 3300 Route 66, Neptune, NJ 07753. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch is in charge of the arrangement.
