Dennis J. Loring of Pawtucket died on March 3, 2017. He was the loving husband of Paula A. (Marsland) Loring with whom he just celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Mr. Loring was born in Warwick, the son of the late Merle O. Loring and Anita M. (Mercier) Loring. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving as a Gun Fire Control Radar Systems Technician on the U.S.S. Intrepid during the Vietnam War.
He was a graduate of Warwick Veterans High School and Rhode Island Junior College. He work in the Submarine Signal Division at Raytheon in Portsmouth, Manager of Contactor Product Engineering at Elmwood Sensors, Inc. in Pawtucket, owner/operator of Precious and Few, Inc. in Pawtucket, and Assistant Manager of Benny's Automotive in Providence.
Besides his devoted wife Paula, Dennis is survived by his daughter, Jennifer L. Corneau and her husband Scott of East Providence, granddaughter Morgan Corneau, grandson, Robert Williams; brother Robert Loring and wife Patricia; sister Diane Mattera and husband Raymond; sister Shirley Whiting and husband Donald and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Janice Buster.
There will be a prayer service for Dennis on Monday, March 6th at 6:00 pm in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. His calling hours will be Monday from 4-6 pm prior to the service in the funeral home. www.manningheffern.com
