Angelina Mary (Sartini) Mennucci

Angelina M. (Sartini) Mennucci, 95, of Pawtucket, died peacefully at home on April 1, 2018 surrounded by her family.  She was the wife of the late Guilietto (Gil) Mennucci. 

Mrs. Mennucci was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Nello Sartini and Madelena (Vanetti) Sartini. Mrs. Mennucci is survived by her children, Michele Mennucci and her husband Myles Glatter of Barrington, and Michael Mennucci and his wife Carol of Lincoln.  She also leaves her four ​grandchildren, Emily Glatter and her wife Colleen Kirkhart, Benjamin Glatter, Jill Mennucci, and Mary Beth Mennucci. 

Angelina and her husband Gil married in 1946.  After several years working as a hairdresser for other people, she opened her own beauty salon in the basement of their Pawtucket home.  She and her husband Gil worked in her beauty shop until 1991 when they retired.   Angelina enjoyed a long and happy retirement, spending time with her family, cooking and eating, summers at Cape Cod, playing bingo, doing her daily scratch tickets, and bragging about her grandchildren.  Like her Sartini siblings, she enjoyed playing cards and going to the racetrack and casino.  

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Angelina on Monday, April 9that 10:00 am at St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, followed by her burial in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.  There will be calling hours on Monday morning beginning at 8:30 am prior to the funeral.
